Case Summary

In a court decision concerning Sarah Jen, the court addressed charges of Fleeing and Eluding by Foot and Attempted Fraud. The court found no evidence that Sarah Jen eluded law enforcement on foot, leading to a verdict of Not Guilty on that charge. However, for the Attempted Fraud charge, the court determined that Sarah Jen had committed fraud by misleading Kate Beers into believing she had acquired a kidney through murder, despite only providing a Kitty plushy for which Beers paid $5,000.00. This led to a Guilty verdict on the fraud charge. Consequently, Sarah Jen is ordered to surrender to law enforcement within 72 hours to serve a 15-month sentence, pay a $200 fine, and compensate Kate Beers $5,000.00 in restitution. Failure to comply will result in a bench warrant.

Debrief:
On 01/01/2024, officers received a phonecall from Mr. Paulie Freeman who asserted that an individual with a cat on their head was at Pillbox Hill Medical center attempting to sell a kidney to an on duty Nurse for the amount of $30,000.

Officers routed to the location and located an individual matching the description given by Mr. Freeman. Mr. freeman was also still on the scene and pointed out the potential suspect later identified as Sarah Jen. Officers detained and mirandized Ms. Jen before asking any questions. During questioning, Ms. Jen obtained the following information:

INTERVIEW WITH SARAH JEN: 01/01/2024
Sara Jen, who gave ID on scene and someone she called dante Smith (something about daddy senapi Uwu- person that owns the hub)are harvesting and selling Kidneys for 30k ish- a lot of people have been drinking. They will need a new kidney.

8342621527: was going to donate her and Dante and then sell a kidney to Laney Bishop

Reiter Zugrab was going to buy one… did not have the money right now. The kidney had been shot quite a lot… Took out of someone else… wants to turn it into a hand bag???

They keep them in fridges somewhere. She just makes the calls and gets the kidney. Once they get the cash, they leave it in a location for pickup.

Laney Bishop may be interested in purchasing one.

How many have they sold? Sold one, but does not recall who it was to. It was a no name exchange.
She asserted hat the kidney was taken from an unidentified homeless person in exchange for socks. She and Dante removed the Kidney. Dante had all of the surgical equipment. The extraction occurred at a mechanical place with lots of car parts around. He was awake during the entire procedure. He had scrapes and bruises. The man was not tied up or restrained in any way. He was holding on for dear life.
Where are they getting them from?

3-4 kidneys are in the refrigerator. One is full of bullet holes…

19:20 EST Phone CALL WAS OBSERVED re: the Kidney with Kate Behrs MS. JEN WAS ALSO OBSERVED TO MAKE MULTIPLE CALLS DURING DETAINMENT AND WAS OBSERVED TO SPEAK ABOUT KIDNEYS AND THE SALE OF KDINEYS DURING THE CALLS.

During the interview with Ms. Jen, she attempted on multiple occasions to sell the officer a Kidney for the price of $18,000 with a $12,000 down payment and an additional $5,000 upon delivery. She expressed that the officer could meet with her at some small shacks on Baytree Canyon rd. and later provided a GPS link for the location. Officers refused to provide any money upfront and insisted on viewing the product before any sales were finalized. At this time, Kate Behrs had also arrived and attempted to assist officers. She offered Ms. Jen a $5,000 bonus in order to view the merchandise (a kidney) prior to the sale.

Ms. Berhrs left PBMC with Ms. Jen and first traveled to the nearby Legion Square bank before driving to the location. She shared with officers the same location that was shared by Ms. Jen. Officers had an Air unit overhead following the vehicle operated by K. Behrs and Ms. Jen. The chopper lost visual of the vehicle after it passed below Power St. Kate Behrs expressed via text that Ms. Jen had been asked to “dip” to lose someone Ms. Jen believed to have been following them. It was also asserted that Ms. Jen had some sort of cooler but she did not know the contents.

Ms. Jen and Kate Behrs were later spotted at the designated and shared location where shots fired were reported. Kate Behrs asserted that a local had become aggressive with Ms. Jen and they ahd to return fire in self defense.

Upon officer arrival on the scene, Ms. Jen asserted that she needed some bandages for undisclosed injuries. Officers gave her bandages, and Ms. Jen handed the officer a cooler and demanded $18,000 payment. Inside of the cooler was a loaf cat squishy. Ms. Jen insisted on payment, and when the officer declined, she took off running and calling her lawyer Ms. Baker before falling to the ground and succumbing to her injuries.

EMS were called to the scene and Ms. Jen was tiraged and transported to PBMC for further care. Ms. Baker arrived shortly after and DOJ members Jessica Ashbrook and Mr. Andre Oxberg were also called to assist. Magistrate Adrian JAx and Atticus Goodman were called down to evaluate for a possible 51-50 to which they deemed it not to be applicable.

Ms. Jen was then taken to VPD for processing and pled not guilty to her charges. She was unable to afford bail and opted to be held until arraignment.

KATE BERS WITNESS STATEMENT:
1 Jan 24:
Kate the Collector Beers
DHS Supervisor

Sarah Yen called me and asked me about buying kidneys. In the past I have been her case worker from DHS so I was concerned about this. It seemed at the time to me that someone was trying to coerce her to sell her own, and then she stated she was at the hospital. I went to the hospital to find her with police personnel and it was discovered that she was the one trying to sell other people's kidneys. She was talking with Kelly Price about Price buying a kidney and Price wanted to see it first. I figured this was for evidence purposes and after Sarah claimed that one of the people she got kidneys from was a homeless man, I decided to try and help.

I set up a preview with Sarah for her to take me to the location she was holding the organs at. I paid her 5k and she showed me a cooler stating that she had one all along. I looked in the cooler and it seemed to be a dirty looking cat plushy. After this I went along with her to the location anyway, pinging the GPS coordinate to Price. While this was happening, she tried to introduce me to a local man she said was helping her with her kidney operation. I tried to talk to the gentlemen but he did not want to talk with me. While I was texting Price, Sarah and the local man got into an argument and he started shooting her, to which I drew my weapon and defended myself and Sarah.

PAULIE FREEMAN & ROSE BROOKS FREEMAN WITNESS INTERVIEW BY. 726 | L. CAMINO
Suspect was brought in for treatment, and sent the suspect upstairs for fresh pants as hers had to be removed for surgery. Dr/Paulie went down to the elevators and sus asked if Dr wanted to buy a kidney. Dr wanted to get as much information as possible and asked where it was. Sus said it was in her apartment. Dr went into the bathroom to radio hospital staff and called 911. Paulie kept her busy and Dr asked more questions. Sus mentions a price of 30k, Dr pushed it down to 18. They negotiated to keep sus at hospital as she was trying to leave the hospital. White Subaru approached and sus tried to enter the vehicle. Sus was asked what blood type the kidney was, wasn’t sure. Dr said she could do a blood type to figure out what it was (to stall). Sus was on the phone the entire time as Dr was shuffling around in a cupboard to pretend to look for a blood tester.Sarah Jen (8387353515) . Suspect seems very unaware that selling a kidney is illegal. Sus mentions having someone in charge who is pushing her to sell this kidney. Sus claimed to trade the kidney for a pair of socks, took the kidney of someone who was unconscious on the floor. Spoke to Laney bishop about this/was going to give her the kidney. Dante Smith is the ringleader/boss of this kidney organization. (Statement taken by Paulie Freeman/ Rose Brooks-Freeman)

Judicial Ruling

TO THE PEOPLE OF SAN ANDREAS;

A due process hearing has occurred for this matter, and a decision was reached.

OPINION OF THE COURT;

This evening, we heard from several witnesses and viewed several pieces of evidence. To start, let's address the 1 count of Fleeing and Eluding by Foot. This evening, there was no testimony or evidence presented that proved the defendant, Sarah Jen, eluded law enforcement. We did hear that she told witness Kate Beers to lose Air 1, which was following ahead by motorbike, to which Kate Beers listened and lost Corporal Price in Air 1.

Moving to fraud, the lawful definition being: Any action which, by deceit, falsehood, or fraudulent means, defrauds the public or any person, whether ascertained or not, of any property, money, or valuable security, or any service. The defense in their closing argument made statements regarding a speech issue, and that the defendant was saying "Kitty," with regard to the Kitty Plushy that was located in the cooler obtained by Kate Beers for $5,000.00. This originally instilled some slight doubt as there was, in fact, a Kitty plushy located in the cooler.

But if we were to refer back to Kate's statement, the defendant, Sarah Jen, informed Ms. Beers that she obtained the kidney by means of killing a homeless man. As such, this court believes the burden of fraud has been met.

VERDICT or JUDGEMENT;

In terms of the 1 count of Fleeing and Eluding by Foot: Not Guilty.

In terms of the 1 count of Attempted Fraud: Guilty.

SENTENCE or AWARD;

The defendant is hereby ordered to turn herself into law enforcement within 72 hours and serve 15 months, and pay a fine in the amount of $200.00 and to pay restitution to Kate Beers in the amount of $5,000.00. Failure to do so will result in a bench warrant.
