Debrief: On December 1st, 2024 at approximately 23:45 EST, Snr Officer Lombardi and Officer Greer responded to multiple calls of unidentified females rummaging in the parking lot above Home on the Range. Upon arrival, Officers Lombardi and Greer witnessed two females, Barbie Knight-Schmidt sitting in a silver sedan and Emelia Kuri actively looking through the trunk of a gray sedan.

Officers made contact with the two suspects and attempted to get them detained. The two suspects refused to comply with officers' demands. Officer Lombardi attempted to get Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt in cuffs, which she slipped away from. Both suspects fled the scene on foot in different directions, Officer Lombardi witnessing Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt snort some unknown substance. Officer Lombardi pursued Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt on foot. She fled up a ladder and on the rooftop began to strike Officer Lombardi, the two fought and she continued to flee. Officer Lombardi and Officer Takei then witnessed Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt eat a psychedelic mushroom while running from Officers.

Officer Lombardi and Officer Takei got the suspect cornered in Legion Square where she drew a machete and swung it at Officer Lombardi, striking him once in the arm. Officer Lombardi tased her once, she stood up and charged him once more, Officer Lombardi tased her once again. Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt then dropped the machete and surrendered to Officers. Officer Takei advised her of her rights and searched her, identifying 7 mushrooms in a baggy on her person as well as 5 grams of weed. Officer Takei requested medical treatment for Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt and Officer Lombardi. Both were treated on scene by SAFR and released. Officer Lombardi and Officer Greer transported both suspects to VPD.
At VPD Officer Lombardi administered a sobriety test, both suspects showing signs of intoxication - cocaine residue present under their noses and dilated pupils. During a sobriety test, Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt struck Officer Lombardi multiple times. Both suspects requested a lawyer and were provided PDO Raphael Messi. Prior to Counselor Messi’s arrival, Mrs Barbie Knight-Schmidt struck Officer Greer once in the face. Officer Lombardi requested SAFR to VPD to assist with Greer’s injury.

Officers were met by Counselor Messi at VPD, where Officers brought both suspects into separate interrogation rooms. Counselor Messi with both suspects and discussed the situation with them. Both suspects were sent to bolingbroke penitentiary per Article 2, Section D: Definition 13 “Processing Ultimatums” and inability to plead to their given charges.

Statement from Officer Greer:
262 Split up from Lombardi and pursued the suspect, identified as Emilea Kuri. 262 chased her until reaching occupation ave and 215 attached to assist. Kuri was apprehended after being tased twice. 215 and 262 transported her back to the scene where she received medical care from EMS. While speaking with Barbie Knight-schmitt about what the plan was, she was very irate. She was swearing and being belligerent with officers.

When 262 approached the bars, Barbie reached through and punched 262 in the face. 262 was treated by EMS at VPD due to extensive bleeding

Judicial Ruling


To All Parties -

I was contacted by Kelly Price in regards to Barbie Knight-Schmidt wishing to go forward with an arraignment hearing on her charges. After declining the services of an attorney, she plead guilty to all charges. The State suggested a time penalty of 0 months for the time that she had already served.

Barbie Knight-Schmidt has been found guilty on:
1x Article 1, Section 1d Aggravated Attempted Second Degree Murder
2x Article 1, Section 3b Aggravated Battery
1x Article 1, Section 7h Fleeing & Eluding (by foot)
1x Article 1, Section 7i Resisting Arrest
1x Article 3, Section 2c Breaking and Entering

She will face no additional time and has been ordered to pay a fine of $8,450.
